After a short break to showcase Clunes Booktown Festival 2025, our monthly Booktown on Sunday is back!
Join Jacqui Horwood in conversation with Fiona Hardin, author of Unbury the Dead.
Best mates Teddy and Alice are hired hands with flexible moral boundaries. Whatever the mess, they can be relied upon to fix it with no questions asked. But sometimes it's not as simple as cleaning up.
Teddy is searching the suburbs for a missing teenager with her occasional sidekick Art, while Alice's mission is to drive one of Australia's richest men along Victoria's east coast to his final resting place before anybody finds out he's dead. But when a surprise revelation sees their cases collide, Teddy and Alice turn the tables on their wealthy employers to shake out the truth.
Unbury the Dead is a superbly fresh and pacey high-stakes drama with two irresistible heroines.
Held on the second Sunday of each the month, to tie in with the wonderful Clunes Farmers and Makers Market in the morning, so plan for a lovely drive into town, catch the train, or stay the wekeend! (https://www.clunesbooktown.org.au/stay-in-clunes/)
We throw open the doors of our lovely historic home of the Clunes Railway Station at 11:00am, when there will be a pre-loved book stall, with an author talk to follow at 1:30pm - so there is ample time to explore the market and grab a bite of lunch.
We aim to be wrapped up by 3pm so you can catch the train home if needed. Drinks available to buy throughout the author talk, along with some networking opportunities afterwards.
